American Blonde

There's no better way to refresh a look than with a major hair transformation.  With the exception of my six-month phase with blue tips, I've been desperately seeking a change, so when I was approached to take my hair from my tired ombre to a platinum blonde, I didn't hesitate. I sat down with Matrix for a consultation earlier in the month — flipping through a multitude of blonde inspirations spanning through the decades. We settled on a platinum Madonna 80s inspiration of a cool blonde hue and natural, dark roots.  This was a perfect low-maintenance look for me someone like myself who rarely has the time for salon visits.  We filmed the process from start to finish, capturing every detail.

From Los Angeles to Paris then Paris to Italy, I traveled for the past four weeks, taking my freshly colored blonde locks around the world.  The truly low to  no-maintenance style was exactly the change I needed this summer, and a fun and playful way to spice things up.
