Love a good heavy knit particularly one of the checkered variety, layered under some (faux) fur.  This combination is especially helpful when mother nature decides it's time for a negative twenty degree drop.  I've been posting photos of my outfits on this blog for over two years now, and it doesn't matter how many winters I do this, it never gets easier.  But a few thick layers, light accessories, and comfortable wedges do help get me through the day.
