A few months ago, Americana Manhasset invited me out to experience their shopping destination firsthand.  I've lived in New York for nearly 6 years, and those who know me, know that it takes a lot of convincing for me to venture off this island, let alone leave my neighborhood, so you can only imagine my hesitation when I got invited to go to the North Shore of Long Island for a shopping trip.  Then again, I was intrigued -- luxury stores?  A sushi lunch? -- as a food and fashion lover, I said yes to becoming a featured AM blogger.  We took a tour of the stores, had lunch at Toku, did some styling with the various brands and then at the end of the day, shopped.  I ended up with my gold brogues, while continuing to swoon over Louboutins and Alice + Olivia wears, but alas my day came to an end and I reluctantly returned to Manhattan. Not since my days of living and shopping in LA have I seen a place quite like this.  Sure, Manhattan is an experience and not to mention very convenient, but there's nothing quite like destinations such as Rodeo or Robertson, and that day, "Miracle Mile" became my east coast equivalent.
